The Wisconsin Workplace Emergency Response Planning project is a cooperative effort of the University of Wisconsin-Extension School for Workers, the Occupational Health Section of the Wisconsin Department of Health and Family Service, business, professional and union leaders and organizations to promote greater awareness of the broad range of workplace emergencies that can occur from floods, tornadoes, fires and hazardous material releases to workplace violence and bio-terrorism.
Just as the first step towards prevention is awareness, this web site seeks to provide Wisconsin businesses and workers with information on specific risk factors, preventative measures and links to a variety of governmental and non-governmental resources to assist them in better preparing for, planning and responding to workplace emergencies. We welcome any ideas, suggestions or comments you may have for improving our web site
